Fenway High School, Boston MA

FOV will partner with Fenway High School in the fall 2018 semester to offer "Snapshots of Joy" as an art elective to members of its sophomore class.

Mother Caroline Academy

Mother Caroline Academy is a private, tuition-free school for girls in grades 4-8 from limited financial means. It serves girls of all faiths, races and cultures from Boston neighborhoods. The school's mission is to provide a high-quality education that develops each student's individual and prepares her for success in competitive secondary schools and in college. Rooted in the Catholic tradition that recognizes the dignity of each person, the Academy emphasizes the importance of scholarship, leadership, spiritual, social and moral development. The Mother Caroline community continues to support and nourish its graduates through their secondary and college education.

"Snapshots of Joy" was conducted January-March 2017 at MCA during the academic day where all 18 fifth graders took the course during art class. In the fall of 2017 the seventh-grade art class followed suit. In May 2018, the graduating eighth-grade class will participate with a public exhibit being held at the Grove Hall Branch of the Boston Public Library on June 4, 2018.

Old Colony YMCA, Stoughton branch

The Old Colony YMCA serves 31 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts with programs for all ages and abilities, designed to build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. All activities stress positive values that enrich the individual, strengthen the family and enhance the quality of life for all members of the community. One of the largest human service providers in Southeastern Massachusetts, the Old Colony YMCA through its branches serves over 135,000 children and families each year, without regard to income, race, sex, religion, or physical ability. Its over 37,000 members visited our facilities nearly one million times last year.

"Snapshots of Joy" was conducted at the Stoughton Branch in Stoughton, MA, and at The South School in Holbrook, MA, in May 2017. Three additional sessions have been held this winter. An exhibit of all 33 children’s work will be held on April 9, 2018.

Sharon Community Education

FOV has partnered with Sharon Community Education through its aftercare program since the fall of 2016. To date "Snapshots of Joy" has been offered in 14 sessions across four venues, serving a total of 161 Sharon school children.

Sharon Community Enrichment Program

In March 2018 FOV and Sharon Community Education broadened their collaboration by offering "Snapshots of Joy" as a Community Enrichment program to middle school children.

St. Stephen's Mission

In May 2018 FOV will offer "Snapshots of Joy" to middle-school-aged children.

St. Stephen's Youth Programs

The B-SAFE Program (The Bishop’s Summer Academic & Enrichment Program) is a five-week, full-day academic and enrichment program serving young people from first grade through high school. The goal of the program is to build a community where all people feel safe, feel big, and feel connected. This summer B-SAFE will run 10 programs in six Boston-area neighborhoods. Each site will include academic programs in reading, writing and math; health and wellness; visual and performing art workshops; science activities; recreational activities; and many field trips. A healthy breakfast and lunch will be served each day, along with a snack. While based in Episcopal churches and schools, the B-SAFE Program has no required religious component for staff or youth.

"Snapshots of Joy" was conducted at three summer camps for elementary-aged children in July 2017. In the summer of 2018, "Snapshots" will return to B-SAFE in two venues for middle schoolers.

Sacred Heart School, Kingston, MA

Sacred Heart Elementary School students receive an outstanding educational foundation, combining rigorous academics with a safe and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable challenging themselves. In March 2018, "Snapshots of Joy" was introduced to Sacred Heart School through its two fourth-grade homerooms. Both will complete the course by April vacation week – as long as another Nor’easter does not set them back!

Wayland Schools Aftercare

In May 2018, FOV will be introduced to 4th-6th grade students in the Wayland School aftercare program.

Citizen Schools

From March through May 2017, 18 fifth-grade students at The Wright School in Chelsea participated in "Snapshots of Joy" through collaboration with Citizen Schools.

Sharon Public Library

"Snapshots of Joy" was launched in the summer of 2015 at The Sharon Public Library with three students enrolled. A second session was held in the spring of 2016. FOV remains forever grateful to The Sharon Public Library for launching our program in the community where Victoria was raised.
